why?

why do people put their baby's picture up as their personal profile picture, in say, a venue like facebook? i mean, not a picture of them AND their baby, just their baby! have they lost their own personal idenity sooooo much that they can't be recognized as nothing more than a wife and mother?

    Yes, they have. It feels like people lose their identity in children...and then get divorced when their children leave the house because they've got nothing to do. I also get annoyed at the people who have a 'joint' facebook account. Like a married couple or whatever - get your own!

    Sometimes their kid is much cuter than them. I'll take the cute kid...though it does get rediculous! Also...joint accounts are rediculous...and are really run by women who think it's cute to show everyone how married they are. They are rarely 'joint.'
